Criteria for Evaluation:

  1. Timeliness: Student submits the assignment by the deadline.

  2. Quality: Student demonstrates a deep understanding of the subject matter and presents well-researched and well-supported arguments.

  3. Originality: Student presents original ideas or perspectives on the subject matter.

  4. Clarity: Student presents ideas and arguments in a clear and concise manner.

  5. Digital Literacy: Student demonstrates proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment.

Scoring:

Each criterion can be scored on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score:

  • Timeliness:
    1 – Consistently submits assignments late or does not submit at all
    2 – Occasionally submits assignments late or does not submit at all
    3 – Usually submits assignments on time
    4 – Frequently submits assignments early or on time
    5 – Always submits assignments early or on time

  • Quality:
    1 – Presents superficial or inaccurate information and does not support arguments
    2 – Presents basic information and provides minimal support for arguments
    3 – Presents adequate information and provides some support for arguments 4 – Presents substantial information and provides strong support for arguments
    5 – Presents exceptional information and provides highly compelling support for arguments

  • Originality:
    1 – Presents only commonly known information or ideas
    2 – Presents some original information or ideas
    3 – Presents moderately original information or ideas
    4 – Presents highly original information or ideas
    5 – Presents groundbreaking or highly innovative information or ideas

  • Clarity:
    1 – Presents ideas and arguments in a confusing or disorganized manner
    2 – Presents ideas and arguments in a somewhat confusing or disorganized manner
    3 – Presents ideas and arguments in a generally clear and organized manner
    4 – Presents ideas and arguments in a highly clear and organized manner
    5 – Presents ideas and arguments in an exceptionally clear and well-organized manner

  • Digital Literacy:
    1 – Demonstrates limited proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment
    2 – Demonstrates basic proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment
    3 – Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment
    4 – Demonstrates advanced proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment
    5 – Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in using online tools and platforms to complete the assignment

Total Score: The maximum possible score is 25.

Interpretation of Scores:

  • 21-25: Excellent participation
  • 16-20: Good participation
  • 11-15: Average participation
  • 6-10: Below-average participation
  • 1-5: Poor participation
